They're Here!!!
The January transport has arrived and all the dogs are settled down for the night. We will have pictures to share but we gotta tell you - the pictures don't do justice. They all came off the truck with tails wagging and not seeming too bothered by the snow. We'll have more to say tomorrow but we're dog gone tired now.

The transport was in Georgia late this afternoon 1//27 and hope to be in South Carolina tonight. All the dogs are doing well. Let's hope our snow does not come as too much of a culture shock.

A PUPPY LOVE CHRISTMAS STORY
One of the adorable Panda Bear puppies -- Pyrenees and Border Collie mixes -- was given the name Coal. Their children were told they were getting coal for Christmas. Wouldn’t you just love to see the happy faces when their parents make good on that promise!
We wish you a spectacular Christmas story of your own. To all our foster and adoptive families: Thank you for saving the lives of the Louisiana dogs – we could not do this without you, and are incredibly grateful that you opened your hearts and gave these wonderful pups a chance to know love. A round of applause surrounding our thanks to the Louisiana rescue network.
We look forward to a great New Year and many more TAILS to tell.
Happy Holidays in the most special meaning they hold for you.

Let's Make This A Great Holiday Season for Bourbon
Bourbon, a wonderful 1 yo chocolate lab mix, still needs a forever home. Among the 40 dogs brought to Maine since we started Puppy Love this past September, Bourbon is the only dog not adopted. He turns a year old on December 30. Let's get the magic of the holidays to work for him and get him the best birthday present ever - - a forever home of his own.
Bourbon was a star at the adoption promotion on the 19th. He ADORES children of all ages. The family who surrendered him had three young children. Their hectic schedule and a mother expecting a fourth child was the reason he lost his home. Bourbon is house trained, great on a leash and knows basic commands. He is cat friendly and loves to play with other dogs. Bourbon is neutered and fully up to date on his shots and heart worm preventative medication.
